Sonic Series presented by MC Music Department

SONIC SERIES by MC Music Dept presents our first workshop, The Full Spectrum Voice! We will explore the acoustics of the singing voice and how we can utilize a broad understanding of timbre to create deeper levels of performative expression beyond the dictates of style and genre. The session will include a survey of existing choral works that utilize various techniques and timbres as well as analytical and performative tools for accessing these sounds. The center of the masterclass will focus on an in-depth workshop of Hymn to Aethon, led by the composer.
