Students can receive materials covering topics such ranging from resumes and cover letters, to professional communication and networking skills.
Group discussions, team conversations, and one-on-one coaching from local employers already in their preferred field will empower students to take ownership of their career aspirations and grow in confidence that yields success.

Grants at Moorpark College
We have several grants dedicated to students within various majors that help fund their internships. These grants are for students concentrating their education and career focus in STEM-Impacto, Enginering, Work-to-Learn, Locally Sources and LAEP.
How to start with an Internship?
An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work, related to a student’s field of study or career interest. An internship gives each student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. Students can bring ideas to life in the workplace with their enthusiasm and energy. With our grant-funded M80 Internship Program your organization can develop local talent and potentially gather future full-time employees.
LAEP Grant
The LAEP allows a participating student placement in an educationally beneficial position that relates to the student’s area of study, career objective, or the exploration of career objectives. The program includes and emphasizes positions for students with employers that are capable of providing them with full-time employment opportunities after graduation, or opportunities to connect with other employers that are capable of providing them with full-time employment opportunities after graduation, within their areas of study.
Eligibility
Eligible students are from an underrepresented background and meet all of the following criteria:
