Community College Bachelor Programs

Moorpark College joins the growing network of California Community College Bachelor Degree Programs!

The California Community Colleges Board of Governors granted Moorpark College official degree approval for a B.S. in Biomanufacturing January 2023. The program launched Fall 2024 semester with an inaugural cohort of 14 students.

The Oxnard College Dental Hygiene Program prepares students for the practice of dental hygiene. A Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is a licensed professional who is part of the dental care team, performing such services as oral examination, oral prophylaxis (scaling, root planing, soft tissue curettage and polishing the teeth), exposing and processing dental x-rays, administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation for pain control, applying preventative substances such as topical fluorides and dental sealants, along with instructing patients in oral health care, nutrition, and the connection between oral health and general health.

 The Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene offers both academic and clinical skills curriculum within an on-campus clinic. 

Students are prepared to take the National Board Dental Hygiene examination in their final semester. Upon completion of the program, graduates qualify to take a regional clinical examination and the California Law & Ethics exam to gain licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

At Ventura College the Bachelor Degree Program includes a B.S. in Automotive Career Education. Students can begin their journey with our flexible certificate and associate degree program and apply to the corresponding 2-year bachelor's degree completion program.
