Benefits Programs

The Post - 9/11 GI Bill® is an education benefit program for individuals who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.  This program usually offers 36 months of benefits, covers most college programs in the US, and provides an allowance for housing.

Veterans eligible for this program can receive up to 36 months of education benefits.  Usually, veterans cannot use both the Montgomery GI Bill® and the Post 9/11 GI Bill®.

This benefits program offers up to 36 months of education and training benefits for those that served in the Reserve or national guard.  To find out if you're eligible and to apply, check the VA's web page.  

This program offers education and training benefits for veterans with a service-connected disability that limits their ability to work.  In most cases, you must have a disability rating of at least ten percent from the VA in order to be eligible.  For more information, check the VA's web page.  

This program offers educational benefits to the children or spouses of veterans that have a disability rating of one hundred percent, are missing in action, or gave their life in the line of duty.  For full eligibility information, check the VA's website.  

This program offers waived tuition to the children or spouses of veterans who have a one hundred percent disability rating.  For more information and to apply, check the CalVet website. 

 

Note that those eligible must apply to this program through their local County Veterans Services Office.  The Moorpark Veterans Resource Center cannot process your application.
