Frequently Asked Questions
- When do the courses meet?
Most courses are offered either 100 percent online or in a hybrid format (part of the course is online but will also include some face to face meetings).
- How much do textbooks cost?
They vary in cost. While new books can cost over $100, you can buy used textbooks or rent them for much cheaper than that—as low as $10! Furthermore, if you complete the FAFSA there may be financial aid available to help pay for textbooks. Textbooks can be purchased new, used, or rented from the Moorpark College Bookstore. Just type in your course and section number (see schedule links above) and the website will tell you which books are required for the course. If cheap options are not available at the bookstore, we encourage you to explore the library or popular retailers like Amazon.com or Chegg.com that provide cheap textbook rentals.
